Dorte Lena Eilers was born in Bremen and has been an editor at the Berlin based magazine Theater der Zeit since 2007. After studying music, biology and politics in Osnabrück and Kingston upon Hull, UK, she undertook a traineeship at the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung as well as the Akademie der Publizistik in Hamburg. In 2008 she was editor-in-chief of the festival journal for the 7th Festival Politik im Freien Theater staged by the Federal Agency for Civic Education in Cologne. Eilers is associate editor of the TdZ workbooks “Theater Der Welt” (2010), “Dimiter Gotscheff. Dunkel das uns blendet” (2013) and “Castorf” (2016) as well as “Die neue Freiheit. Perspektiven des bulgarischen Theaters“ (2011).
