Although the theatre is situated in a small town, it is accorded wide recognition among theatre experts of the United Kingdom as well as the whole European theatre world. The entire world stages McDonagh, the entire world plays the Irishmen.  Demolishing one myth, McDonagh creates another. So, what are they, these mysterious Irishmen?

Ireland goes through the eyes of the Irishmen. The most faithful version of “the most Irish” play by McDonagh from “Bardic” Theatre that is in the heart of Ulster where the characters of the well-loved play live.

The Irish “lyricists” will show their premiere performance where the scene is laid in 1934 on the Aran Island Inishmaan. The islanders are excited with arrival of film-makers from Hollywood to shoot a documentary about the islands life. Cripple Billy reaching out for breaking away of the world full of gossip, poverty and drudgery, competes with the islanders for taking part in the film, and everybody is surprised with that the cripple and outsider is given the chance. Faery and fantastic, bright and unpredictable real Irishmen are coming to Perm with the performance that everybody should watch!
