Czech Republic is considered to be one of the largest European centres of theatrical art. East Bohemian theatre is notable for its secret atmosphere, appealing mysticism and enigmatic aura – everything, which is so close to the creative work of the theatre “U Mosta”. And it is not surprising that one of the most renowned Czech theatres loves McDonagh’s work as Perm citizens do. The productions of the East Bohemian theatre are distinguished by original directing and high level of acting. A lot of theatrical celebrities have started their career exactly at this theatre.

“The Cripple of Inishmaan” is the tragicomedy of hope and overcoming of your own boundaries. The characters live on a small desert Irish island, where everybody knows each other, love and hate at the same time. Everyone raves against fate, everyone dreams to escape, but not everyone understands, what dreams may come. The cripple Billy, the smartest and at the same time the most unhappy inhabitants of the island, has had the chance to change his life. It is he, who has been living in care of two oddish aunts, goes to America following the Hollywood director, started shooting a film of Irish fishermen.
