Dmitriy Krymov’s Laboratory plans to present a series of 4 plays for children “In our own words”.

Great classical pieces of “adult literature” are been retold by four characters from different countries – a Czech, a Finn, a French and a Russian. For the first performance “Eugene Onegin”, Pushkin’s novel in verse, has been chosen. The production director tries to open the mysterious adult world with the key of “children’s theatre”, to show not only the so called “encyclopedia of Russian life”, but to draw interest to the figure of the great poet, who, according to Krymov, “was a very jolly person, who was a very serious and sad man inside, and then he was killed”.

The series will be continued – performances after such classic pieces as “Island Sakhalin” by Anton Chekhov, “The Dead Souls” by Nilolay Gogol and “Capital” by Karl Marx are planned.
