In Shanghai Shikumen, there is an old Chinese redbud tree. Near the redbud tree, there is a family named Tian. The father raised three daughters alone. One day, the balance of the family was broken because the second daughter got badly sick, while the youngest daughter who has been away from home more than ten years returned.

In order to save the second daughter’s life, Mr. Tian do not hesitate to give up the family inheritance, loss family interests, and even to give up his life!

However, because of his choice, Mr. Tian faced the collapse. Blood is thicker than water or love is deeper than blood?
