The diploma performance for the graduating students of the Acting Department of the Leon Schiller Film School in Łódź is based on a verse play by Friedrich Schiller that depicts the last days of Mary, Queen of Scots.

“There are two impressive and monumental characters on the stage – Queen Elizabeth and her prisoner, who awaits a sentence, Maria Stuart. The men who fight for their attention are watching them carefully, eager to pay the highest price for it. What is at stake here is not only a matter of life and death, but also concerns power and pride.
