The opening of a new production of Ubu the King after the motifs of Ubu the King by Alfred Jarry, directed by Jernej Lorenci will take place on Saturday, 30 January at 20.00. The play which was written 120 years ago deals with a ruthless and greedy ruler Ubu is now set in contemporary time and place by the creative team featuring SNT Drama resident membersJernej Šugman (Papa Ubu), Nina Valič (Mama Ubu), Bojan Emeršič (Capetain Bordure), Jurij Zrnec (Big Priest), Klemen Slakonja (Klemen Slakonja), Sabina Kogovšek (Minister), Boris Mihalj (Financier), and Gregor Zorc (Judge / Big) and Žan Perko (Negro / Little) appearing as guests.
